Using LiftOff Organic Stain and Odour Remover ( Concentrate ) to clean and remove an old brown beer stain off his bedroom carpet saved Angus a $1,870 carpet replacement cost when he moved house recently.
Angus brews is own “smoked” brown beer and loves to watch rugby, laying in bed, while having a beer or two, a few chips and a few salted cashews. One night about 6 months ago things were going well, his girlfriend had finally drifted off to sleep, his team was winning well and the 3rd beer was tasting great; when lo and behold Angus’s eyes decided they needed a short rest.
About 20 minutes later Angus woke with a start, jerked his arm, tipped over his beer stein and spilled about a half a litre of brown beer on to the edge of the bed and onto the carpet. In Angus’s words,
“Eventually I got out of bed got a towel from the ensuite, dried the bed and dropped it on the spill. Thinking I would mop it up in the morning. No drama. ”
5 months on, Angus and his girl friend decide to move house. One problem is that there is a big brown stain on the carpet on the right hand side of the bed. It about a 600 – 700 mm diameter stain. His girl friend gives it a wash with normal carpet cleaner and the stain grows to about 800 mm diameter and starts to smell a bit like beer again.
Angus’s rental agent sees the stain during an inspection. She tells him to get the stain cleaned or the carpet will have to be replaced. When she finds out it is a brown beer stain, she get a quote to replace the carpet. Only $1,870.00.
Being an Engineer, Angus decides he had better clean up this mess. After trying various cleaners nothing changes. The beer smell just comes back. He hears about LiftOff Organic Stain and Odour Remover from a colleague. He gives us a ring and immediately understands how it works and the principles of Bio-remediation and Bacterial Digestion of organic matter and substances. Yes, brown beer is an organic substance.
Late Friday afternoon he drops by and buys a 1 litre bottle of LiftOff Organic Stain and Odour Remover (Concentrate) and 750 ml spray bottle.
That night he mixes up a 1:5 dilution of LiftOff Organic Stain and Odour Remover and generously sprays the stained area and covers it with 2 layers of plastic wrap with some weights on the corners and edge. He leaves it over night. In the morning he picks off the plastic and the stain is 75% gone. There is some light ringing at the edge of the stain. He then sponges the area with clean water and then sponge dries the area. The stain is now 85% to 90% gone.
Angus then generously soaks the area with a 1:10 dilution of LiftOff Organic Stain and Odour Remover. He covers the area with 2 layers of plastic wrap and leaves it for 24 hours.
Late Sunday morning, Angus lifts the plastic and there is no visible stain or odour. He sponges the area with clean water removing residual suds from the carpet. He then sponges the area to touch dry and then leaves it to dry naturally. Monday night the area is dry and there is no visible stain or odour.
7 days later Angus and his girl friend pass the move out property inspection. No mention is made regarding the stain or replacing of the bedroom carpet. The following Wednesday afternoon Angus drops past our office and presents us with 6 bottles of his Brown Beer and 6 bottles of his Pils beer. They were both good drinking.
